A sprawling complex in Caulfield North is about to break the suburb’s record with an asking price of more than $20 million.
The “family estate” at 15-19 Howitt Rd hit the market late last week with a huge price tag of $20 to $22 million.
Consisting of two separate residences on over 3200 square meters of land, a total of eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, swimming pool and tennis court.

If it sells anywhere near the stated range, the home will top the current reported residential sales record of $10.6 million set by 2 Keverell Rd in 2012, CoreLogic records show.
It will also break the overall record for the highest price ever paid for a home in Caulfield North.
A commercial sale at 31 Station St, which sold for $15.95 million in July 2019, has that title.
Kay & Burton director Ross Savas, who is selling the property along with Garry Peer’s Darren Krongold, said the offer was “phenomenal”.
“It is the largest landholding in the area; it’s a great estate,” said Mr Savas.
“The house is incredible and it is incredibly well built, no expense has been spared and the proportions and space are amazing.”
Mr Savas said the sellers had lived on the original property before building the second home for their sons.
A “lush” four bedroom, two storey home, surrounded by manicured gardens, is located at No. 15 Howitt Rd, while a single storey home, also with four bedrooms, is available at No. 19.
“Over the years they have continued to renovate, the expanse of the garden and the rolling lawns is phenomenal,” said Mr Savas.
“The indoor-outdoor pool, you can open the glass doors and out on those rolling lawns.
“It will certainly be a record price and will undoubtedly attract local and international interest.”
The property had already sparked interest from potential buyers, including expatriates, in the first 48 hours since the listing went live, he added.
A gold-rated theater and gym are also included in the lavish property package.
The properties will be sold together through an interest campaign, which will close on 8 December.
