Justin Timberlake, who was just a year shy of having lived in his Hollywood Hills mansion for two decades, is ready to say goodbye. (Or rather, “Bye, Bye, Bye.”) The Wall Street Journal reports that the 13,530-square-foot home is listed for $35 million, a whopping $26.7 million more than the “Cry Me a River” singer. paid when he bought it in 2002, prior to his marriage to actor Jessica Biel in 2012.
With nine bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and four half bathrooms spread over a main house and a guest house, the property certainly has plenty to offer. The interior of the Spanish villa was recently renovated by Estee Stanley – the interior designer behind numerous celebrity homes, including the spaces of Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo and Chris Evans. Stanley subtly mixed rustic and modern styles. In terms of amenities, the property features a floodlit tennis court, vegetable gardens and private woodland, along with two swimming pools that Timberlake and Biel added during their ownership. To the side of the house a large covered terrace offers a lovely place to eat outside. Indoor luxury includes a large dressing room, decadent home theater and four fireplaces provide maximum coziness. Large gates and a guardhouse preserve the privacy of the estate.
The house was originally built in 2000 by Mad About You star Helen Hunt, but its glitzy history dates back to Hollywood’s Golden Age, when Errol Flynn had a compound on the land. The legendary actor’s residence was subsequently razed to the ground in the 1980s to make way for subdivision. Timberlake and Biel don’t own any other California homes that we know of, but their properties in New York City, Montana, and Tennessee provide plenty of space for their family to live in once this spot is occupied.
